Hennyer Story
I remember well that at the age of 6, I told my parents that I wanted to be a painter, and it was a joy for them. From there, a path of many challenges began, but I was aware of such a profession. Sometimes, day and night, I wouldn’t stop painting and creating. It was then that I had the privilege of meeting artists who taught me and shared their personal vision of art.
When I entered the professional academy of Fine Arts in Holguín, Cuba, I couldn’t believe it. It was something that confirmed more and more this visual language that I carried inside. There, I grew in new techniques and concepts, but a question arose: How am I going to continue creating and walking in this world of art when I leave the academy? It felt difficult to think about being outside the academy, but again, it was a surprise that I could apply and was approved for a position as an Art Specialist in a gallery in my hometown. That was another fabulous journey in this profession.
I have gone through different creative stages that have enriched my experience. Materializing each moment of creation is a challenge, which brings a charm to the formation of each detail of the work. Art is the way I have to communicate my deepest self and where that comes from.
